Martha Conboy is an established filmmaker and executive producer with over 25 years of experience in production, supervision and management in the film and television business. Conboy spent the greater part of her career as an independent editor and producer. She’s done drama, documentary, kids programming and political spots. Her films have won several Emmys, a DuPont Columbia Journalism Award and an Academy Award Nomination for Best Documentary Short Subject. As an Executive Producer, she supervised hundreds of hours of programming for The Learning Channel. For the National Geographic Channels’ launch, she managed a group of 20 charged with editorial and production management supervision of all Channels commissioned programming. Additionally, she led the Singapore Economic Development Board’s joint venture with National Geographic Channels International – a project designed to identify, commission, and train a new generation of Asian program-makers.

Currently she’s Executive Producer on Wild Chronicles, a weekly series for PBS in conjunction with the National Geographic Society’s Mission Programming Division. She’s also Exec Producing GeoSessions, a series of 30 half-hours featuring a host of global music stars for the Fox’s recently launched channel NatGeo Music. And, she’s providing editorial supervision on behalf of National Geographic Television International, the distribution arm of National Geographic Television.

She’s served on juries at film festivals from Shanghai to Missoula, works with students routinely at graduate filmmaking programs and speaks at universities. And when she’s home, she lives in Arlington Virginia with her husband, Rob Senty. Their two daughters, Megan and Sarah are attending college.
